Values
Rock Recovery, and Rock Recovery House policies, will be guided by two core values: “Be Real,” and “Live Life.”

Be Real
The value “Be Real” encapsulates the importance of honesty and trust between Rock Recovery as an organization and those it serves. Rock Recovery will be honest with individuals regarding what Rock Recovery Houses offer: support and individualized Christ-centered treatment during non-work hours, enabling residents to face their addictions and daily life simultaneously. This type of treatment is appropriate only for those who are recovering from their addictions; it is not appropriate for individuals who are in denial or resisting treatment. In return, we expect residents to be authentic regarding their daily struggles and adherence to house policies. Furthermore, by employing nutritionists, LCSWs, psychologists, therapists, and highly-qualified house staff, Rock Recovery Houses will strive to gain the trust of those it serves. In return, we expect residents to trust our treatment teams to develop healthy, individualized eating and exercise plans. Rock Recovery will also “Be Real” by keeping costs real. We will provide all treatment free of charge and will only charge reasonable monthly rent to those who can afford it. This cost is approximately 1% to 10% of current residential treatment facilities, which charge between $10,000 and $100,000 per month.

Live Life
The value “Live Life” points to the goal of Rock Recovery Houses: to help residents identify and address the root of their addictions (i.e., the wounds they have suffered), such that they may achieve true recovery in and through Christ. All therapy activities will focus on this goal. Rock Recovery Houses will help residents “Live Life” to its fullest by helping them to realize who they are in Christ, and learn to live in Christ rather than in their addictions. Together, the values of “Be Real” and “Live Life” represent the organization’s commitment to providing desperately needed treatment option for all individuals who are open to seeking Christ’s hand in their recovery process. In sum, by providing an affordable opportunity for individuals to dedicate ample time to their personal recovery process in a supportive, faith-based residential setting, as they live out their daily lives, Rock Recovery will address a major gap in current treatment options for food and exercise addictions, which cripple over 10% of American women.

“It is absolutely clear that God has called you to a free life…
My counsel is this:
Live freely, animated and motivated by God's Spirit.
Then you won't feed the compulsions of selfishness.
For there is a root of sinful self-interest in us that is at odds with a free spirit,
just as the free spirit is incompatible with selfishness.
These two ways of life are antithetical,so that you cannot live at times one way and at times another way according to how you feel on any given day.
Why don't you choose to be led by the Spirit and so escape the erratic compulsions of a law-dominated existence?”
-Galatians 5:13-18
