Rock Recovery is a non-profit organization currently working to establish cost-free, faith-based recovery houses for individuals striving to overcome food and exercise addiction (and related disorders, e.g., compulsive overeating, anorexia, bulimia) while remaining engaged in their daily lives (work, school, family).

Holiday Giving Drive in Progress
December 2009: In the spirit of the Christmas season (and in celebration of victories over holiday feast and party mayhem!) Rock Recovery has launched our first public fundraising drive. Your donation will contribute to the establishment of our first recovery house. Please pray about this opportunity to be a part of our mission!
Rock Recovery featured on Shawn Anderson`s Extra Mile Tour
October 2009: Author and motivational speaker Shawn Anderson biked across the country to collect the stories behind non-profit groups like Rock Recovery. We were honored to be among only a handful of organizations interviewed in the D.C. area, and hope that our story will also be an inspiration to others.

October 13, 2009: Busboys & Poets Shirlington enabled Rock Recovery to share their mission with hundreds of customers and donated 5% of dinner sales to our cause. Thanks to Busboys & Poets, especially Kat and the wonderful Shirlington staff, for making this outreach a huge success.
RockingRecovery Focuses on Uplifting, Inspirational Music
October 9, 2009: This invited singer/songwriter competition challenged four local artists to play their most uplifting and inspirational songs. Congratulations to Margot MacDonaldfor winning the competition and many thanks to David Condon, Dar Stellabotta, and Zack Peterson for giving her a run for her money! Video coming soon!
Art, Eating, & Exercise Launches Rock Recovery into the Spotlight
September 19, 2009: For it`s first outreach event, Rock Recovery collected donations from artists and artisans across the country. We raised over $1,500 for Rock Recovery and more importantly, educated many on risk factors and how to help those suffering.
